After an unbelievably eventful campaign that saw lows of sub-.500 play through the first half of the regular season to highs of clinching their first NBA Finals berth in over a decade, the Boston Celtics look to this offseason as a time period in which they can set themselves up for an even greater amount of success come 2022-23 and beyond.

Though they were able to do a full 180 from the midseason mark on and pull off one of the greatest second-half turnarounds in NBA history, in the end, their run at ultimate glory fell a bit short as the Golden State Warriors halted the C’s championship bid two wins shy via a Game 6 drubbing in the final round.

If their bout against the Dubs taught us anything, it’s that, while incredibly sound and well put together, this team’s roster needs one or two more complementary pieces within their arsenal to try and take the pressures (specifically on offense) off of stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

This summer, there will be many ways in which Brad Stevens and co. can go about adding on such assets, one of which will be during Thursday night’s NBA Draft.

Now, while the Boston Celtics do not hold the rights to their first-round pick this season, as it was sent over to the San Antonio Spurs at the trade deadline in the Derrick White deal, they still find themselves in possession of their second-round pick which will have them on the clock at 53rd overall.

While at this stage of the night, the vast majority of legitimate NBA-caliber players will be already off the board, often times we see at least one or two surprise talents slip to the latter portion of the event, and, to us at HH, we believe that Boston has a chance of snagging 2 potential steals from the 2022 NBA Draft late in the second round:
