The Boston Celtics are coming into the 2022 NBA Draft with just a mere late second-round pick within their possession but, as time dwindles down towards the start of Thursday night’s festivities, reports are seemingly swirling about suggesting that the organization could be looking to move up the draft board.
According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, Brad Stevens and co. are one of several front offices that are interested in working their way up to within this year’s first round, particularly the latter stage of this phase of the night.
Now, considering the fact that the C’s just made it to within two wins of achieving ultimate glory and adding banner No. 18 to the rafters at TD Garden, their main objective moving forward should be to try and get back to the big stage of the NBA Finals as soon as possible, and a one-step towards accomplishing this goal will be by means of keeping the majority of their core rotation that got them there intact.
What this means is, mainstays such as Jayson Tatum are Jaylen Brown will not be going anywhere anytime soon.
