Top Boston Celtics moment No. 5) Tatum drops 46-points in Game 6 vs. Bucks

Given the stakes and setting, it isn’t an exaggeration to say that Jayson Tatum’s 46-piece against the Bucks in Game 6 was the best game he’s ever played in his NBA career.

Following a crushing Game 5 defeat at home, Tatum took it upon himself to keep the Boston Celtics alive by putting the team on his back. It didn’t matter who was covering him, he was so locked in to the point where he looked like he was participating in a pregame shootaround.

He knocked down big shot after big shot and didn’t just win this game for Boston, but came out as the aggressor and took it.

The C’s held a 12-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, and Ime Udoka decided to give Tatum some rest. This backfired immediately and the Bucks stormed back in the first 3 minutes of the quarter with him off the floor.

He re-entered the game and scored the next 11-straight points for Boston to regain their comfortable lead to propel them towards a hard-fought victory that, in turn, saved their season.

What makes this performance even more remarkable is how he never drew iron on any of his made jump shots. Once he settled into the game and found his rhythm he swished every jumper as if the rim was as wide as the Atlantic.

An unforgettable moment for JT to play his best ever game in such a high-pressure atmosphere on the road with the season on the line.
