Alec Burks

Going to the New York Knicks was the greatest decision Alec Burks ever made in his 11-year NBA journey following his departure from the Utah Jazz, the team that drafted him. After inking a $40 million deal with the Jazz in 2015, he had to settle for a minimum deal with the Golden State Warriors in 2019-20, but he later inked a one-year $6 million deal with the Knicks that would be followed up with a $30 million dollar deal with the same average annual salary as his Jazz extension in 2015.

Burks has elevated his game in the ‘Big Apple’ to the tune of career-high 3-point efficiency as well as a three assist per game mark for the first time in his career. Thibodeau trusted Burks with floor general duties and even promoted him to the starting point guard spot when Kemba Walker fell out of the rotation and Derrick Rose was out with injury this past season.

Burks would be the perfect low-maintenance scoring option for the Cs second unit and a capable facilitator alongside Payton Pritchard, who also shoots efficiently and moves the ball well to avoid stalling the offense.
