The 2021-22 season officially came to a close Thursday night, as the Boston Celtics were downed by the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

With this, the Dubs are once again league champions while the C’s, like the majority of the other 28 teams in the association, head into the offseason looking to better position themselves for ultimate glory come 2022-23 and beyond.

Now, when it comes to their summer plans, Brad Stevens and co. will be looking into different ways of thrusting this ball club over the hump that hindered their championship bid this year and, if they learned anything from Golden State during this year’s series, it’s that experience can often trump pure talent.

Three of the players within the Warriors’ main core group had already been on the big stage several times before this year, and this familiarity with being in the Finals shined on through on numerous occasions, especially early on when the shamrocks came out swinging in Game 1 by taking away homecourt advantage and when they went up 2-1 after a dominating Game 3 victory.

A less-experienced team may have succumbed to such adversities but with seasoned commodities such as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and even Andre Iguodala (mainly used as a leader on the sidelines) in tow, they remained cool, calm, & collected and, as a result, came home with their fourth title in eight years.

With all this in mind, we at HH strongly believe that amongst the many alterations the Boston Celtics may look to make to their lineup this offseason, finding a way to bring on past NBA champions could be argued as being something of a priority and, should they pursue such players, we believe there are 2, in particular, that should be atop their list:
