Game 6: Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors prediction, odds, TV channel
This might be it, Boston Celtics fans. It’s been a fun season of winning wagers, bad beats, and the occasional push. Then again, there could be quite a Super Bowl-esque winner-take-all matchup on Sunday night with a triumph Thursday night.
It’s all on the line in Game 6.
The last game against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center was one that Celtics fans most certainly want to forget. Despite shooting 12 percentage points better from beyond the arc and winning the rebounding battle 47-39, Boston lost 104-94 and is now on the brink of elimination at the most heartbreaking stage of the NBA postseason.
The Cs have lost two in a row for the first time, with a healthy lineup, for the first time since January. There haven’t been three straight losses for the T.D. Garden home team since the Omicron variant was ripping through the league and forcing missed games left and right.
Will we have to start shifting our sights to offseason improvement or is Banner 18 still on the table?
Hardwood Houdini has the odds and lays out a prediction for Game 6 (live on ABC at 9 P.M. EST) at the T.D. Garden Thursday night:
Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors odds, spread, over/under
According to WynnBet, the Celtics are a 4-point favorite against the Warriors at home. Golden State is an underdog on the road at +145, with the Cs moneyline set at -175. The over/under for the game has been placed at 210 points.
Celtics vs. Warriors prediction
Ime Udoka has coached this team too well for them to drop a third straight game after building a 2-1 NBA Finals series lead.
The Houdini has been wrong before, but it really just doesn’t feel like the Cs are going to allow the current narratives–whether it’s that Jayson Tatum isn’t ready to lead a championship team, or Marcus Smart being unsuitable for the floor general role with under five assists per game through the first five NBA Finals games–linger into the offseason.
Lay the four while you’re at it. Boston will decisively send this one back to the Bay.
