The Boston Celtics may still be in the midst of trying to attain their 18th championship trophy, which would once again give them sole possession of the moniker “winningest franchise in NBA history”, but this hasn’t stopped media outlets from discussing ways in which they could wind up getting even better come next season.

Now, granted, this C’s team is in fact tremendously constructed, as they consist of an incredible assortment of talents whose skill sets seem to complement one another quite well.

However, even a team such as this could be argued to have holes present within their arsenal and, according to the folks at Bleacher Report, the one area within their rotation that could be addressed via free agency this offseason is their big man rotation, specifically their supply of backup bigs.

Citing the fact that their two most utilized bigs in Robert Williams III and Al Horford have quite a bit of baggage attached to them, writer Andy Bailey is under the impression that Brad Stevens and co.  should strongly consider stockpiling the talent pool behind them with options that are slated to be found on the open market:

"Al Horford is 36, and Robert Williams III has dealt with nagging injuries throughout his career. Grant Williams and Daniel Theis are solid reserves, but losing either or both of those starters for any time would put strain on the rotation.Even if it’s just for insurance purposes, adding a big man wouldn’t hurt."

This offseason, there are several big men that the Boston Celtics could be interested in pursuing, be it impending free agents such as Andre Drummond and Dewayne Dedmon or even potential trade-market assets like one of our personal favorite targets in Mike Muscala.

Whether they enter the offseason as runner-ups or, obviously the more favorable, NBA Champions, one this is for certain: this summer is certainly going to be entertaining!
