For the first time seemingly all series long, the inexperience of this Boston Celtics squad in the championship round was extremely apparent, as they were clearly outhustled, outsmarted, and, simply put, outplayed by the seasoned Golden State Warriors on Monday night.

Right from the jump, Game 5, which took place at the Chase Center following a two-game stint in Massachusetts, looked like it was going to be a tough night for the visiting C’s, seeing a double-digit deficit early and, from then on out, often.

By the end of the first quarter, Boston was outscored 27-16 whilst going a disastrous 8-of-23 from the floor and 0-of-5 from deep and coughed up four turnovers. In fact, to emphasize how sloppy their initial play was, they started their first offensive possession off with a high and awry pass from Jayson Tatum that soared out of bounds right over the head of Marcus Smart.

Now, though the Celtics were able to chip away at Golden State’s early advantage, and even went on to take the lead at around the midway mark in the third, the hometown Dubs, what with their “been there, done that” demeanor, were able to weather the storm (outscored 35-24 in the critical quarter) and took the edge back heading into the final period and never let go.

In the end, the Warriors went on to down the shamrocks 104-94 and, as a result, find themselves going up 3-2 in this best-of-seven series.

In a game like this, it may be hard for Boston Celtics fans to try and find any sort of silver linings, as their favorite ball club was virtually incapable of scoring at any semblance of an effective rate, couldn’t hold onto the ball to save their life (turned the ball over 18 times), and let up 22-points off of said mishandlings.

However, at least from an individual standpoint, there were some positives that could be taken away from the outing.

With this in mind, we at HH would like to pinpoint 1 stud and 1 dud from the C’s putrid Game 5 loss to the Warriors:
