Boston Celtics key to victory No. 1) Win the turnover battle

This should go without saying, but it is difficult to win games in the NBA when you turn the ball over eighteen times in one night. It is increasingly difficult to do so when you turn the ball over that many times in the NBA Finals.

Add in the fact that your opponent plays fast and benefits from a quicker pace, and it is a recipe for disaster.

The defense for the Boston Celtics was not bad by any means during Sunday night’s battle. The offense hung the defense out to dry a bit with the high amount of turnovers leading to transition buckets.

The shamrocks need to find some offensive stability in Game 3, centered around doing a better job protecting the basketball. It starts at the one with Marcus Smart and trickles down to the rest of the team’s primary ball handlers.

Smart committed five turnovers in the defeat and did not seem to have the same level of confidence in his passing.

Udoka has proven all postseason long that he is a master adjuster and should be able to help the C’s settle in.

Whether it is going to a smaller lineup with better passing or getting Al Horford back involved in the offense, the Celtics must shake it up a bit on Wednesday night.
