At the moment, the Boston Celtics have all their attention focused on trying to attain their 18th Larry O’Brien Trophy come season’s end and, in turn, they should not really be thinking about their next steps and what decisions they could make during the coming offseason.

After all, many of their summer doings will be based on how this year’s campaign ultimately ends up.

That said, while we at HH are rather busy ourselves with our coverage of games and focus on discussing different strategies that could help aid in their quest for glory, we also have been keeping an eye on different paths the C’s could take this coming offseason in an effort to ensure a 2022-23 campaign that’s as promising, if not better than the one they’ve experienced this year.

As we stated, what Brad Stevens and co. decide to do this summer will be heavily dependent on whether or not they hoist another banner up into the rafters at TD Garden.

Should this happen, in all likelihood they’ll want to keep their core largely intact and, with this, look to run things back for another go at gold. If they lose, perhaps the team’s decision-makers will want to make some sizeable alterations to their talent pool, which could see a bevy of pieces both old and new being shuffled around.

However, no matter which outcome becomes a reality, there’s a consensus feeling amongst fans and media outlets alike that sophomore wing, Aaron Nesmith, is a player that we could see being shopped between the end of this season and the beginning of the next.

Thus far throughout his tenure donning green and white threads, the youngster hasn’t been able to live up to his lofty status after being selected 14th overall back in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Through just under two full campaigns played, Nesmith finds himself boasting averages of just 4.2 points and 2.2 boards on 42 percent shooting from deep and, at the moment, is essentially out of the team’s playoff rotation.

That said, though he may be viewed as a bust for the C’s, this is not to say that he should be someone that the league should just go and give up on!

As the old saying goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and, this summer, we can envision 2 teams engaging the Boston Celtics for a trade involving Aaron Nesmith heading their way:
