Boston Celtics: 3 disadvantages C’s face in NBA Finals against Warriors

Disadvantage for Boston Celtics No. 3) Experience
To put it plainly, the Golden State Warriors are an active dynasty.
Sure, this may be the first time in which they’ve made the playoffs since 2018-19, but that has, in large, been due to their lacking health over the last two seasons as opposed to anything else.
Prior to the 2020 campaign, the Dubs embarked on seven straight postseason runs, five of which saw NBA Finals berths and three saw them taking home the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Now, yes, this is not the same overall group that raised two banners in a span of three consecutive seasons, for arguably their best player during that time in Kevin Durant now finds himself laying on a beach down in Cancun after he and his Brooklyn Nets were swept by the Boston Celtics back in round one.
That said, their core foundation of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala is still the same one that guided Golden State to a championship run in 2015 and the greatest regular-season record of all time (73-9) in 2015-16 all while seeing Curry winning two straight MVP awards.
The players on the Boston Celtics, on the other hand, have a total of zero NBA Finals experience combined, let alone championship experience which, though may not have been all that much of a disadvantage if they were to have gone up against, say, the youthful Dallas Mavericks, could prove to be against this battle-tested Warriors team.
Over the last eight years, Golden State has managed to reach the Finals on six total occasions. Their experience at this stage of the season easily trumps all other 29 teams in the association, but especially the C’s.
