Boston Celtics key to victory No. 2) Stay Composed

The officiating in this series has been questionable, to say the least. Giannis Antetokounmpo seems to be getting the superstar treatment as most calls go in his favor. Regardless of how we may feel about the refs, one thing is certain: Boston needs to maintain their poise and stop complaining.

Ime Udoka has proclaimed from the beginning of the season that it is his job to work with the officials. However, in the last couple of weeks, the C’s players have been constantly complaining after no calls.

Jayson Tatum notably has had many issues with the officials in recent games often shaking his head and talking to the refs. One of the most disappointing parts of Game 4 was Grant Williams. The backup big not only struggled on both ends but was very animated with the officials.

Quarreling with the decision-makers does not help things especially when Boston already isn’t getting calls. The Celtics cannot afford to give the crew reasons to make calls against them.

Good teams lose composure occasionally, but great teams never lose composure. Expect an added focus on this in Game Five as Udoka looks to reel in his squad.
