Boston Celtics stud: Al Horford

While we already deemed him to be one of the more impactful players during the C’s midseason turnaround, this year’s playoff run has been a perfect example of why Brad Stevens and co. opted to reacquire Al Horford during this past offseason.

Simply put, the big man has proven himself to be that steady and stable veteran presence that Boston was missing all of last season and, in Game 4, he went on to put this on full display.

Playing both sides of the floor and showcasing a stellar inside-out game in this win, the big was simply an electric leader from his on-court production to his confident attitude, the latter of which was exemplified to a tee with the look he gave Giannis after being jammed on in the third, only to then later return the favor in the fourth with some payback of his own.

Finishing with the second-most minutes played on the team with 41:36, Horford posted a whopping 30 points, eight boards, three assists, and a block on a highly efficient 78.6 percent shooting from the floor and 71.4 percent shooting from deep.

The veteran was a much-needed presence for Boston in this game, especially in the highly contested fourth period where he finished with an unbelievable 16 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting.

Despite the fact that he’s at the ripe old age of 35, Al Horford is still proving to be an absolutely integral part of this Celtics team’s successes.

In his postgame interview, the big stated how happy he was to be back in Boston this season.

The city and their fanbase can without a doubt say the same about you, sir!

He’s back where he belongs.
