Boston Celtics No. 2) Grant Williams

The 6-6 Swiss Army big known as Grant Williams has been electric for the Boston Celtics. What a fabulous way to continue his apology tour.

We are one year removed from when many critics called for him to be cut from the club altogether.

Now the doubters are left to eat their stinky gym socks and the 23-year-old is setting the NBA world ablaze. The third-year forward has played some of the best defense we have seen to date on stars such as Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Arguably the consensus two best players in the world, he’s contained them quite well. When the immovable object meets these unstoppable forces, it’s a war!

The self-proclaimed Batman is averaging 11.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks on 47 percent shooting from the field and 49 percent shooting from deep on nearly five attempts per game.

The level of volume with efficiency coupled with his defensive versatility makes him a matchup nightmare.

He has done an admirable job in leading the second unit amidst Derrick White’s abysmal offensive production. Stepping into that sixth man role with grace and flair to put on some absolute marquee shooting performances.

We can look at his stellar Game 2 performance in round one against the Brooklyn Nets where he was perfect from the field in his 17-point matinee off the bench (4-for-4 from the field, 3-for-3 from deep, and 6-for-6 from FT).

More recently, Grant erupted for 21 points and five rebounds in Game 2 of round two against the Milwaukee Bucks and set TD Garden on fire by netting a playoff career-high six 3-pointers on seven attempts.

One thing is for sure, he is due for a hefty payday and the Boston Celtics will have no choice but to prioritize it this offseason!
