The Boston Celtics may be in the midst of their journey to potentially take home banner No. 18 and subsequently hoist it into the rafters back at TD Garden, but this hasn’t stopped fans and media pundits from thinking ahead and concocting various schemes to potentially make this team even stronger come next season and beyond.

Now, granted, the C’s do still have as realistic of a chance as any other team in the league to come away with the 2022 Larry O’Brien trophy but, should things not go their way, one can only assume that Brad Stevens and co. will look to make some serious alterations to the makeup of this ball club during the offseason in an effort to better their odds of ultimate success come 2023 and beyond.

One popular method people have always loved to discuss is the one that sees a blockbuster transaction take place, one that goes about and pairs the Jays with that highly coveted third star to create the league’s newest Big 3 that would, in theory, bring them closer to an NBA Championship.

Just recently, the folks at NBA Analysis Network went about and thought up such a plan to do just this, as they concocted 2 trades they believe the Celtics should consider making for Portland Trail Blazers All-Star point guard, Damian Lillard.

With this, it inspired us at the Houdini to push out another installment of our favorite series we like to call “Pass or Pursue”, where we take proposed ideas pertaining to the franchise and discuss whether Boston should avoid having them become a reality or if they should actively try to make them happen.
