Boston Celtics key to victory No. 2) Play cleaner basketball

All season long, the Celtics’ defense has helped aid their offense when it seems to become stagnant. Boston finished the year in the middle of the pack in the turnovers per game category.

They were good enough with the basketball and made crisp enough passes to win the turnover battle more times than not.

Game 1 was a bit of a different story for the shamrocks. The deer turned over the rock just thirteen times, while Boston committed eighteen turnovers, about five more than their season average.

The Bucks’ defense met Boston at halfcourt on almost every possession, making it hard for the C’s to get into their sets until late on the shot clock. From there, Jrue Holiday and the Bucks wings made it very difficult for Boston to get comfortable.

In order for them to turn things around in Game 2, they must run through their stars more. That includes the duo setting screens and running the offense, which should lead to better offensive possessions.

With fewer turnovers, Boston should have an easier time getting better looks on offense.
