Boston Celtics key to Victory No. 1) Change it up on Giannis

After the Boston Celtics harrassed Kevin Durant and forced him to play what may have been the worst series of his career, expectations were high against Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Unfortunately for the C’s, the 2x MVP was unable to be stopped.

The Greek Freak finished the Game 1 victory with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists, thus giving him his second triple-double of his playoff career.

It seemed in Game 1, the Celtics were more hesitant to double Giannis as his playmaking ability haunted them when they left a man open.

Ime Udoka tried a variety of looks to slow down the All-World talent but, overall, was left still wondering how to slow him down.

On the bright side, Antetokounmpo was just 9-of-25 shooting, so clearly the C’s defensive gameplan had some effect.

For Game 2, Boston must switch things up against him. Expect more pressure on the ball as it reaches half court, to attempt to deter Milwaukee from getting into their offensive sets on time.

The C’s may need to continue to throw the kitchen sink at Giannis, doubling him whenever possible. Milwaukee built a solid team around the forward, as their shooters make you pay if left open.

Tonight is a must-win for Boston and it starts with their defense on Antetokounmpo.
