What if the answer to any free-agent additions to the Boston Celtics lies in their own backyard?

It may be time to look to more locally born ballers of Massachusetts because that well is as talented as it’s ever been. Never before could one even brainstorm a list of players in the New England region to bring home to Beantown. It is safe to say in the words of the great Bob Dylan, “Times they are a-changing”.

The C’s should get creative this offseason with the role players they add to the fray. It is not rocket science that these supporting talents play better at home. In front of their friends, families, and the environments they grew up in, which served to help mold them into the men they became. If Brad Stevens were to think outside the box and bring one of these five players home it could prove to be a low-risk/high reward payoff.

The Celts could look into bringing someone from a division rival that weakens the other team while bolstering themselves. Maybe, a former champion level three and d threat makes sense here. Another backup big man with some shot-blocking chops could be solid injury insurance behind Robert Williams. What about a backup for one of the Jays to give them some much-needed rest down the stretch in games? The shamrocks might have a need for a strict three-point specialist that has no conscience offensively and will shoot and make open shots.

Well, maybe the Cs could have one, if not all, of the aforementioned archetypes on their roster. So without further mention, here are five players the Boston Celtics could bring home!
