Boston Celtics key to Victory No. 2) Time Lord

In a shocking turn of events, Robert Williams III returned for Game 3 to play fifteen minutes of action. This was a rapid recovery from a meniscus tear that happened just over three weeks ago.

Rob shattered the four-to-six-week recovery timetable and made it back to help his squad jump up 3-0.

While he played just fifteen minutes, the former first-round pick posted just two points and two rebounds. He did block a shot and was a +5 on the night.

As Game 4 awaits, the shamrocks don’t necessarily need double-digit points or rebounds from Rob. His presence as a shot-blocker in limited minutes may be enough to scare away the Nets from attacking the rim.

He also dominated Andre Drummond in the brief time the two shared the floor together. Drummond has struggled all series long and Rob’s return should continue to stifle the former Pistons star.

Williams’s ability to box out any player on the Nets should help the C’s win the rebound battle as well.

His screen setting should also be noted, as Williams should help to open things up for the C’s backcourt. Expect shots to come easier for Boston on offense, and shots to become tougher for Brooklyn.
