Boston Celtics takeaway No. 3) The C’s heard all the noise from the media

Before this series began, media members and fans alike were leaning in the direction of picking Brooklyn over Boston to advance to the second round. Considering the Nets have an elite superstar duo, it wasn’t crazy to assume they’d advance, but the way it was discussed seemed more like they were disrespecting and underrating Boston.

The shamrocks were definitely aware of this and have played with a chip on their shoulder in all three games thus far. They’ve outworked Brooklyn all series and have even flat-out bullied them at times.

The big storyline is how the Celtics’ wing duo of Tatum and Brown has gotten the better of Durant and Irving.

They’ve made all the big plays when it has mattered most and they are turning all those opposing pre-series predictions into freezing cold takes

This series was billed as a conference final worthy matchup but the C’s have made it look more like a traditional 2 v. 7 first-round matchup. They’ve been so good that they are making fans and media pundits question their perception of both them as championship contenders and the Nets as broken.
