Boston Celtics key to victory No. 2) Jayson Tatum

Through two games in the opening series, Jayson Tatum has done a variety of things very well. A buzzer-beater in Game 1 and a solid all-around night in Game 2 have helped the Boston Celtics jump out to their current 2-0 lead.

In the opening game of the series, JT poured in 31 points to go along with eight rebounds. He followed that up with a 19-point, ten rebound double-double.

Game 3 could finally be the night KD or Kyrie break out and dominate the floor. This is where Tatum will come in huge for Boston.

The C’s don’t need their budding superstar to go shot for shot with Durant, but a 30-plus point night could lead to a huge road win.

As seen in the 2021 series between these two teams in which number zero scored 50 points, JT can go off.

The Nets defense is below average, or average on a good night. If the other Celtics players come out sluggish, Game 3 could serve as a takeover game for the perennial All-Star forward.

A big night from Jayson Tatum could mean a 3-0 series lead after Saturday.
