The Boston Celtics find themselves in the full swing of the 2022 NBA postseason, as they are in the midst of a best-of-seven quarterfinals series against the Brooklyn Nets that is bound to go the distance after seeing two incredibly competitive showings in both Game One and Game Two.

As a whole, this C’s team as currently constructed has the capability of contending for the Larry O’Brien trophy and, in turn, could find themselves hoisting banner No. 18 into the rafters of TD Garden come year’s end.

However, with the fact that this season’s playoff landscape is wide open, there are several other ball clubs who find themselves with very similar goals and possess just as much potential to taste glory.

Should the shamrocks fall short of their ultimate objective, come the offseason we could see the likes of Brad Stevens and co. shaking things up a bit in the hopes of bettering their odds of an NBA Finals victory come 2023.

Outside of the team’s centerpieces in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, there’s reason to believe that every player found on the roster could, in theory, be used in some sort of offseason move to bolster the team’s talent pool, and, be it just or not (to us, definitely a bit premature), already we’re seeing fans and media pundits alike getting to work and concocting hypothetical deals the front office could make to do exactly this.

Most recently, the folks at NBA Analysis Network concocted 2 specific trade scenarios they believe the Boston Celtics could consider involving the likes of veteran big man, Al Horford.

With this, it inspired us at the Houdini to push out yet another installment of our favorite series we like to call “Pass or Pursue”, where we take proposed ideas pertaining to the franchise and discuss whether the C’s should avoid having them become a reality or if they should actively try to make them happen.

So, without further ado, let’s get started:
