Boston Celtics key to victory No. 1) Efficient shot selection

The Milwaukee Bucks don’t head into games looking to outshoot the other team from beyond the arc. Instead, what makes them so good is the fact that they can do it if they need and want to.

Kris Middleton, Wes Matthews, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez can knock down threes. However, the goal for Milwaukee is to attack the rim, which could be an issue for Boston without Rob Williams III.

The C’s could counter the Bucks’ interior dominance by taking efficient shots. The goal shouldn’t be to launch 3-pointers and to outpace Milwaukee, but, rather, to take efficient shots that lead to buckets.

Boston’s done a better job at this in the second half of the season since Marcus Smart has fully developed into the team’s point guard. There are still times when the C’s are launching too many triples or forcing contested shots.

Milwaukee is just a half-game behind Boston entering Thursday’s prime time showdown, and is too good of a team to take multiple bad shots a quarter.

The shamrocks don’t have to fire away from deep but focus on getting quality looks. Of course, they will look once again to JT and JB to lead the way.
