Three games remain in the regular season, and the narrative for the Boston Celtics’ performance cannot be more different than what many were prognosticating at the halfway point in the 2021-22 campaign.

The #2 seed is well within reach. All the Cs need to do is win out and they will be ready to play the winner of the first NBA Play-in game.

That very well could be the Brooklyn Nets, but the Cs need not worry about who they play in the postseason. They simply need to worry about winning 16 games and hanging Banner 18 in the process.

A critical seeding game in the east playoff picture takes place tonight at the United Center in Chicago. The host Bulls are a half-game back of the red-hot Toronto Raptors, and cannot allow a losing streak to facilitate the Cleveland Cavaliers sliding ahead of them and forcing a matchup with the Brooklyn Nets in an NBA Play-in. That’d be followed by a matchup against the Atlanta Hawks or Charlotte Hornets should they fall short against Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and co. with a postseason spot on the line.

Does Chicago get a much-needed victory at home? Or do the Boston Celtics get their 50th win of the 2021-22 season?

Hardwood Houdini lays a prediction and has your odds, spread, and TV channel for Wednesday night’s action:

Celtics vs. Bulls prediction

Chicago has been apart of some gaudy final score totals of late, so it wouldn’t surprise the Houdini to see these two teams exceed the 225 total.

Pick: 225o (-108)
