Potential Boston Celtics opponent No. 2) Milwaukee Bucks

If the Toronto Raptors are a team that could give the Boston Celtics some serious trouble with the absence of Robert Williams, then so, too, are the Milwaukee Bucks, for, while they may be a very well-rounded team, they have perhaps the most unstoppable force in the league when heading into the paint who just so happens to be far and away their No. 1 option.

Of course, we’re talking about the 2x MVP who quite possibly could win his third come season’s end, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Currently on the year, we find the 27-year-old ranking in at third in the association in points per game averages, boasting a stellar mark of 30.1 a night whilst shooting an overwhelming majority of his attempts from within the restricted area where, in turn, he’s converting on an eye-popping 76.6 percent of his shots.

As we stated earlier, since Time Lord has been sidelined the shamrocks have struggled mightily when it comes to contesting these close-range attempts and, being that their go-to option feasts at the rim, while the team as a whole ranks eighth in the association in pass percentage when driving the lane, things could become quite challenging for Boston.

With both a healthy Robert Williams and Al Horford, the C’s seemingly have the makings of something similar to “the wall” consisting of Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka that the Toronto Raptors had back in 2019 that, ultimately, managed to control Giannis and helped them advance to the NBA Finals.

Without Williams, however, the duo down low will likely consist of a combination of Horford, Grant Williams, and Daniel Theis which, though decent, is almost certainly going to struggle to contain the Greek Freak.

Heck, even with Time Lord back in the lineup, it’s somewhat likely to believe that he’ll take some time to get back into the swing of things which, in turn, could make the task of guarding Giannis all the more complex.

Without their stud center at full strength, it’s undeniable that the Boston Celtics will be severely lacking in muscle down low to protect the rim which, in turn, will likely lead to the team trying to overcompensate with help defense on drives where, being they’re so willing to pass in such situations, the Bucks will then have a much easier opportunity to cash in on a wide-open kick-out attempt.

Frankly, the Milwaukee Bucks almost certainly will prove to be a handful for any team to go up against during this upcoming postseason and, should they wind up meeting the Boston Celtics at some point in the later rounds, assuming Robert Williams will either be absent or hobbled, it could easily make the matchup sway more in favor of the reigning champions.
