Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown will earn bonus if Cs can do this
Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has a lot riding on the team’s ability to advance in the NBA postseason.
Should the Cs defeat their first-round opponent in the Eastern Conference, Brown will receive a conditional bonus in his contract.
ESPN’s NBA Front Office Insider Bobby Marks reported the exact contractual terms of Brown’s incentive.

Boston has now won 49 games and Jaylen Brown is halfway to a $482,143 bonus.
If the Celtics reach the second round of the playoffs, Brown will meet the criteria.
The incentive was deemed unlikely before the start of the season.

Should he, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, and everyone else necessary to advance past the Eastern Conference quarterfinals be present for a first-round matchup against a team like the Toronto Raptors (who play in one of the strictest places for vaccine laws), though, Brown is due to become an even richer man.
