Boston Celtics takeaway No. 3) Season-high 39 assists

The Boston Celtics were as connected of a team as they have been all season long. They hit their season-high mark in assists with 39 in what was a phenomenal display of team basketball against the Wizards.

Ime Udoka preached ball movement at the beginning of the year and this offense is finally coming together. When you have four players with five or more assists, it is hard to point fingers for who to credit for leading this free-flowing offensive attack.

This game was won in a large fashion by superior ball movement and player movement from the Boston Celtics.

We saw plays with four or five passes to get the perfect open look.

Everyone was making plays off the ball in terms of shooters getting to their spots screens being set, which led to many open looks and it made life easier for whoever had to make the right play off of a double team or downhill penetration and kick-outs.

Cutting to the basket is another component of making the right decision without the ball.

When the assist disparity is as high as 18 as it was in this outing (39 to 21 in favor of the C’s) it’s a tale of two different teams out there.

This amazing show of unselfishness led to 61 percent shooting for the game for Boston and 23 made 3-pointers.

An efficient combination of high volume and high efficiency. A basketball recipe for automatic success in the NBA.

This game was never in question and Boston needed this type of statement victory as they look to remain in position for homecourt advantage in the playoffs.

Next. 3 problems the C's must fix if they wish to win an NBA title. dark
