The Boston Celtics have been without rising star center, Robert Williams III, for two games now after tearing his left meniscus against the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night, and, so far, they’ve gone winless despite putting up valiant efforts against both of their oppositions since, most recently falling to the top-seeded Heat.

It was a back and forth affair Wednesday night, with the lead changing left and right until the final few minutes of regulation where Jimmy Butler and co. ultimately took the score advantage for good at the 4:48 mark in the fourth and never looked back, as Miami ultimately went on to win the contest by a final score of 106-98, giving the C’s their first string of consecutive losses since mid-January.

After sitting out the team’s last game against Toronto, the Jays erupted onto the scene against the Heat for a combined 51 points to go along with 15 boards and 12 assists (a pleasant sight to see, even with the loss).

However, outside of the likes of Tatum and Brown the Celtics struggled mightily in the scoring department, as they shot just 41.2 percent from the floor, 29.7 percent from deep, and failed to hit the century mark for just the second time in their last 27 games.

It was truly a defensive affair for both ball clubs, filled with many duds and only a select few studs, and, today, we’ll pinpoint one of each from Boston’s bout against the Heat:
