The Boston Celtics may be one of the hottest teams in the association since the calendar year flipped to 2022, but this is not to say that things have been “easy peasy” for them throughout this time span, especially when it comes to their recent stretch of contests.

Arriving at such a pivotal juncture in the season, the injury bug came with its fangs out and made its way through the C’s roster over these past few days, biting rising star center, Robert Williams III, particularly hard as it is confirmed that he has suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee which, in turn, will have the big man sidelined for ‘at least several weeks.’

As a result, the shamrocks are left scrambling to try and find a way in which they can mitigate the loss of such a crucial member of their core, and even though they may have just gone toe to toe with the rising Toronto Raptors despite being down four key contributors (Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, and Williams), finding players who can step up down the stretch is going to be vital come the impending postseason tournament.

The 2022 playoffs are creeping up rather quickly, as there are only seven games remaining for Boston on the regular-season docket and, during these dwindling days, Ime Udoka will undoubtedly be looking at his roster as a whole to try and figure out who may be in line for a bigger role while Time Lord remains out.
