Boston Celtics takeaway No. 3) Trying to stay healthy

Unfortunately, the Boston Celtics lost Robert Williams near the end of this one, with the team citing a left knee sprain.

After the game, coach Ime Udoka said the big man was in quite a lot of pain, with testing set to be done tomorrow morning.

Obviously, this loss would be huge for Boston, with Time Lord acting as the anchor of the C’s impenetrable defense. With Horford set to sit out Monday’s game in Toronto, the Boston Celtics’ frontcourt depth will be quite thin, with Grant Williams and Daniel Theis likely getting the start.

Against Karl-Anthony Towns, Grant had trouble keeping the star big man in front of him, with Jayson Tatum even taking the assignment at times. Without Horford and Rob to an extent, the Celtics are going to struggle to stop some of the best big men in the league.

A big reason for this historic turnaround is health–the Celtics haven’t had a real injury in about two months. Now, they are set to face some adversity, with Rob possibly sidelined until the playoffs, if not longer.

Let’s see how they respond, with Time Lord’s presence on both ends of the floor remaining crucial to the team’s success.

Hopefully, Boston avoids any other injuries, heading into the playoffs on a healthy note.
