Boston Celtics key to victory No. 1) Make more 3-pointers

Shooting 7-for-37 (19%) from deep against Dallas was not enough to win, and it certainly won’t be good enough to beat the Warriors.

Golden State has made the second most 3-point field goals in the league, only behind the Timberwolves. If you want to beat Golden State, you have to knock down your treys.

It’s impossible to keep pace with them from deep, but the Celtics need to shoot closer to 30 percent from beyond the arc. With their season average at 34.3 percent from deep and their opponents at 33.8 percent, Boston has the ability to be efficient with their long-range looks.

If the Warriors are going to make 15 plus 3-pointers on the game, the C’s can’t afford to fall behind early in that department.

Derrick White has yet to find a consistent stroke from deep as he was 0-for-4 in his last outing. There should be some optimism that the Celtics shoot better on Wednesday night, as Dallas is one of the best defensive teams in the NBA.

With Draymond and Klay healthy, the Warriors are another tough test on the perimeter.

Many might expect a high-scoring affair, but it would not be surprising to see another grinder of a matchup.
