3 offseason targets for Boston Celtics if Bradley Beal is unavailable

The Boston Celtics continue to find ways to improve night in and night out. As the second half of the season continues to go underway, the NBA playoffs are inching closer and closer.

Once a champion is crowned in June, many consider the summer of 2022 to be an intriguing offseason.

So why not think of moves that could potentially put the C’s over the top, especially in the wide-open Eastern Conference?

Bradley Beal is a name that is viewed by many as being a possible target for Boston. Since being selected third overall back in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards, it’s widely accepted that his talent is being put to waste, as the franchise has been stuck in NBA purgatory for years now.

Being a childhood friend of Jayson Tatum, it’s no secret that the two would love to play together.

Tatum and Beal playing alongside each other could prove to be truly electrifying, for their background and history together nearly guarantees strong team chemistry between the two.

Jaylen Brown would also remain intact if Boston were to sign Beal in free agency rather than deal their All-Star wing for him in a sign-and-trade scenario.

However, there are reports that Beal remains committed to the Wizards. Rumors have been circling across the league that he could re-sign with Washington on a five-year, $246 million deal this summer.

If that is indeed the case, Boston should consider these 3 other options to boost their title odds if Beal does decide to stay in the nation’s capital:
