Boston Celtics killer No. 3) Scottie Barnes

The Toronto Raptors struck gold in the 2021 NBA draft in forward, Scottie Barnes, and it was clearly apparent to the NBA community when he dominated the Boston Celtics.

The fourth overall pick is averaging 14.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per outing. These averages skyrocket against the Celtics, as the 20-year-old is playing way above expectations in three games against the C’s so far this season.

Barnes is averaging numbers comparable to an established All-Star when he takes the floor against Boston, boasting averages of 22.3 points, nine rebounds, and three assists per game.

The 6-8 rookie dazzled at the TD Garden behind a 25 point and 13 rebound double-double in the Raptos’ first game against Beantown in the season series.

The result: a major blowout victory for Toronto and everyone in Boston would know who Scottie Barnes was overnight.

This launched him all the way to the top of the first NBA rookie ladder.

The second meeting did not disappoint either as the lottery pick stunned the Boston Celtics with an all-around performance of 21 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Fortunately for us, Toronto would still fall to the tune of 104-88.

The third game saw the skilled forward continuing his groove with 21 points, seven rebounds, and three assists to go with four made 3-pointers. Still, the Celtics made easy work of the Raptors 109-97.

It’s a weird reality that the shamrocks own Toronto two to one in the season series, but Scottie Barnes showed out every meeting like a true Celtics killer.
