Boston Celtics potential buyout option No. 2) Kent Bazemore

Though he may be viewed as the lesser name of the other players seen mentioned on this list today, Kent Bazemore is a player who we at the Houdini believe could be both the most realistic and, with this, one of the more perfect fits for this Boston Celtics team if ultimately bought out.

After shipping out both Romeo Langford and, more notably Josh Richardson, the C’s have found themselves with somewhat of a hole within their rotation as they’re now a bit weaker in the 3-and-D department out on the wing.

Because of this, Boston is now tasked with trying to replace these specific attributes at the position and, should they look to the buyout market, if available, Bazemore could be viewed as a quality target to consider.

A serviceable role player who can play both sides of the ball, particularly out on the perimeter, since 2016 Bazemore holds solid averages of 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and just over half a block per game on 36 percent shooting from deep.

While he most certainly does not have the same upside that a guy like Richardson possesses, the 32-year-old wing has made a career for himself by providing similar attributes to that of the former Celtic.

Kent Bazemore’s lowly tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers should not deter Boston’s front office from pursuing him for, frankly, that whole team has been an absolute mess, thus having us believe he’s a victim of the toxicity more than anything else.

Perhaps a better environment would do the veteran some good, and Boston could prove to be that much-needed fresh new start.
