Boston Celtics bold prediction No. 2) Jayson Tatum will be an All-Defensive player

In his fifth year in the association, Jayson Tatum has three All-Star appearances, an All-Rookie team nomination, and even an All-NBA team selection.

Now, he has another accolade that he may wish to add to his resume: a spot on the NBA All-Defensive team.

This season, Tatum is playing some of the best defense he has ever played in his young career. Right now, the three-time All-Star has a defensive rating of 103, which is one of the best on the team.

Because of his stellar defense (as well as the team’s as a whole), Boston has been firing on all cylinders and they keep holding opponents to under 100 points.

Out of all other teams in the entire league, the C’s defensive rating as a whole is ranked as the second-best, just ever so slightly behind the Golden State Warriors.

While many people would quickly look to Marcus Smart or even Robert Williams III, Jayson Tatum deserves to be talked about as one of the best defensive Celtics this season.

It’s obvious that Tatum has been impressive on the offensive side of the ball, but what is most impressive is the jump he has made on the defensive end.

At the end of the season, when All-Defensive teams are named, expect to see Jayson Tatum’s name on the list along with Marcus Smart (and hopefully Rob Williams).
