Boston Celtics bold prediction No. 1) The C’s will have a winning record

While this may not sound like too much of a bold take, the Boston Celtics started this season hovering around .500 and below, struggling to stay over consistently for a while.

They had stretches where they looked like they were going to be able to hit two or three games over .500, and would go on to just blow a big lead that they had, causing them to drop one after another.

But that’s in the past.

This Celtics team has shown a lot of perseverance and growth since December when they were really struggling. Now, sitting with a record of 35-26, it’s hard to imagine Boston having a losing record in the second half of the season.

They already won their first game against Brooklyn and their next game is against Detroit, the only team to beat Boston since January 28th.

Unfortunately for the Pistons, this time around I have a gut feeling that they’ll be facing a Boston Celtics team with a little more pep in their step and, even, with a chip on their shoulder since Detroit was the team to end their most recent winning streak at nine games.

With 21 games left in the season, Boston needs to win 11 more in order to have a winning record during this second-half stretch, but even more games to bolster their playoff spot.
