The second half of the NBA season is officially underway and the Boston Celtics have started it the same way they ended it: red-hot.

They are coming off of two consecutive strong wins against the Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons, respectively, and they look just as good as they did entering the All-Star break by preaching good ball movement, making open shots, and, of course, stellar defense.

As the second half of the season starts to make its way around the NBA, there may not be a team with as high of expectations as the Celtics.

They started the season off relatively slow but in the past two months have really flipped the script on the season.

Now, with just over 20 games left to play in the regular season, it’s time for Boston to really make their push for the playoffs. They’re currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, just 4.5 games out of first place and one game out from the fifth seed.

With the C’s recent emergence, there isn’t just one player who has been picking up the slack for the whole team, as it’s truly been a whole squad improvement and it’s refreshing to see.

It’s obvious that the defense has been a major focal point in this new-look Boston Celtics team, but their chemistry looks amazing and even after acquiring a new a few new role players at the deadline, the team hasn’t skipped a beat.
