Boston Celtics free agency option No. 3) Langston Galloway

The name is Langston Galloway and sharpshooting is his game, a game that perfectly suits this current iteration of the Boston Celtics.

The combo guard has seven years of NBA experience and shot 42 percent from deep on the contending Phoenix Suns last year.

Ultimately, the Suns decided to give their young guns a little more pull this season and did not retain his services. Since then, Galloway has received his minutes this year all on a variety of 10-day contracts/ COVID hardship deals with the Bucks and Nets.

The long-range gunner did not have staying power with either squad and finds himself struggling to keep that NBA dream alive.

Enter the Boston Celtics into the chat, and a partnership between the two could prove mutually beneficial.

The C’s lack outside shooting and Galloway boasts a career 37 percent clip from distance.  They lack bench scoring and he averages a career eight points per game. Lastly, they lack experience and he’s a proven NBA veteran that hones in on an amazing talent of being an assassin from deep.

The 30-year-old combo guard brings along a needed arsenal of 3-point shooting prowess that the Boston Celtics cannot afford to pass on right now.

Would the C’s want a conference rival attaining those talents?  Your move, Brad Stevens.

The Boston Celtics have a few open roster spots and desperately lack enough 3-point shooters to effectively compete in a seven-game playoff series.

Let’s work to change that by adding these mercenaries to the army of green.
