Boston Celtics second-half goal No. 3) Get and keep the core four healthy

We get that this task may be somewhat uncontrollable and, frankly, out of the team’s hands, for no one ever purposely gets injured or come down with some sort of health ailment that will force them to miss time but, nonetheless, we believe that getting everyone healthy for this final stretch of the season will be absolutely imperative for the Boston Celtics.

Already this year, we’ve seen several key players miss quite a number of games due to injury or Health and Safety Protocols.

Most notably, focal point starters Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams III have missed nearly 15 games apiece in 2021-22 (14 and 13, respectively) and, when the former has been out the C’s are a mere 7-7 while, when the latter’s out, they’re an even worse 6-7.

Luckily for Boston, Jayson Tatum has managed to stave off the injury bug so far (he says hoping these words won’t jinx it), missing just four games in total, but, in order for this team to reach their full potential, he, along with Brown, Williams, and Marcus Smart, must be able to remain healthy.

While we also obviously hope to see sustained health from the likes of Derrick White, Al Horford, Grant Williams, and, well, everyone else found on the roster, having the core-four available on a nightly basis is obviously the most important for Boston to achieve ultimate success this season.
