Boston Celtics TPE target No. 2) Alec Burks

One of the lone bright spots in the big apple is available, and the Boston Celtics need to strike and snatch up Knicks combo guard, Alec Burks.

The 11-year NBA vet would bring a sense of control to the offense and, more particularly, to the C’s dreadful bench.

Over the last three seasons, Burks is shooting near or above 40 percent from three-point land.

With the Knickerbockers in disarray plummeting towards missing the playoffs and play-in tournament altogether, it is time to develop the future.

This means a willingness to move off veteran contracts to free up minutes for Cam Reddish, Immanuel Quickley, Quentin Grimes, or Miles McBride.

The $9.7 million TPE would give the Knicks an asset that could be used to better their team in the future.

Now, what does Burks bring to the Celtics?

The combo guard would give the team another complimentary offensive weapon for the Jays, as he could serve as another 3-point threat to kick out too.

The former lottery pick also could bring a sense of calmness if deployed in clutch situations.

He’s shown to be highly effective with his shotmaking in big fourth quarters.

New York is shopping him and Boston should be a lead buyer.
