Boston Celtics: 1 stud and 1 dud from C’s underwhelming loss to Hornets

Boston Celtics stud: Al Horford
During the recent hot streak that the Boston Celtics found themselves on, for the most part, Al Horford served as somewhat of an afterthought performer for the ball club, having averaged just 7.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists during this stretch.
Wednesday, however, it appeared as though the veteran managed to snap out of his cold streak, and early on into the exhibition at that, as he was easily one of the most steady contributors on the night.
Notching his first double-double since back in November through the first three quarters alone, Horford went on to finish the game with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists on a Robert Williams-esque 71 percent shooting from the floor and 50 percent shooting from deep.
Though he wasn’t looking for his shot all that much in the first half, the big man certainly let things start to fly in the second where he notched 10 of his overall points and helped spark the team’s near comeback run.
While his return season with the Celtics may not be going as many had initially hoped, Wednesday’s performance was a friendly reminder of the type of contributions he can provide and hopefully is a sign of what’s to come moving forward.
