`In was another unfathomable loss for the Boston Celtics this past Thursday when a lead as high as 25 points dissipated en route to a buzzer-beater loss to the New York Knicks.
The loss usurps the Cs from the final NBA Play-in slot, as the Knicks are the now the #10 seed in the Eastern Conference. Luckily, Boston won’t have to wait long before seeking retribution for their second loss of the new year.
Tonight, at the TD Garden, the Celtics host NY in the second leg of a home-and-home series. This will be the final matchup of the season between the two Atlantic Division rivals. The Knicks own a 2-1 lead in the series due to two spectacularly close victories at home, which also includes an OT thriller back on opening night this past October.

The walls are closing in on these Celtics, and tonight will be a major sink-or-swim moment for the Ime Udoka’s squad. Jabari Parker was just released, so the threat of a roster-shakeup is already present.
