Though the Boston Celtics may be having themselves an unbelievably underwhelming 2021-22 campaign, there still have proven to be a few bright spots found throughout their first 33 games played, particularly when it comes to the high-level performances by their franchise cornerstones, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

In an unsurprising fashion, the dynamic duo has undoubtedly been serving as Boston’s main contributors, placing amongst the top performers on the team in virtually every statistical category.

Tatum, in specific, continues to find himself serving as the main scoring weapon for the Cs, posting a team-high 25.6 points to go along with 8.6 rebounds (a career-high), 3.8 assists, and just shy of a block per game while Brown is putting up similarly impressive averages of 22.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and half a block per game.

While their production, unfortunately, has not exactly translated into all that many wins for the franchise, it could have both of them heading towards yet another All-Star selection and you, the fans, can help get them there.

According to last week’s press release by the NBA, there are three ways in which Boston Celtics fans can go about and vote for their favorite players to take part in this year’s NBA All-Star Game:

"The NBA App – Access the ballot and vote through the NBA App, which is available on Android and iOS. Fans can fill out one full ballot once every 24 hours by selecting up to two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference when choosing starters.Vote.NBA.com – Fill out one full ballot per day on vote.NBA.com from a desktop or mobile browser. Fans can select up to two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference when choosing starters.Twitter – Tweet, retweet or reply with a hashtag of an NBA player’s first and last name (#FirstNameLastName) or Twitter handle, along with the hashtag #NBAAllStar. Each tweet may include only one player’s name or handle."

To simplify the last method mentioned, all tweets, retweets, and/ or replies with either #JaysonTatum or #JaylenBrown along with #NBAAllStar included and any tweet with @jaytatum0 or @FCHWPO along with #NBAAllStar will wind up counting as a vote.

Along with being able to vote once daily for a player, the NBA has also implemented five “2-for-1 Days” that will allow fans to have their votes count twice, the first of which came on Christmas day and the next four are to come on these following dates:

  • January 7th
  • January 13th
  • January 17th
  • January 20th

Voting will conclude at midnight (ET) on January 22nd and, on January 27th, the NBA All-Star Game starters, including the two team captains, will be revealed on TNT NBA Tip-Off.

Some hope to see the Boston Celtics split up the Jays between now and this year’s deadline. Those who are smart, however, only wish to see them thrive together, and one way of doing this is by sending them to this year’s All-Star game.

Let’s make it happen!
