The ugly: The Boston Celtics blew yet another double-digit second-half lead

There are not enough words to describe how ugly this Boston Celtics team can be.

They seem to make just enough plays to put themselves in a position to win before collapsing down the stretch.

They blew a double-digit second-half lead to a team with a record below .500 and that is missing all five of their starters.

The Celtics had no excuse to lose this game but not only did they lose, but they also blew it in a way that is becoming all too familiar for this team.

This happened a few times early in the season for Boston, but the general consensus among fans was that it is still early and this team will figure it out. The NBA is approaching the midway point of the season and the Boston Celtics… well, haven’t figured out anything.

They find themselves two games below .500 now and more than half of their losses were due to some type of collapse in the second half.

The C’s have now collapsed in back-to-back games, both of which they should’ve closed out. At least in the case of the Bucks collapse, there was a superstar on the other team in Giannis Antetokounmpo making superstar plays, but during Monday’s match, there was no such superstar.

The T-Wolves are a roster full of bench players and 10-day contracts yet they were able to claw their way back and beat a Celtics team that, yes is also shorthanded, but should be more than capable of pulling away with a win.

Things really can’t get any uglier for these Boston Celtics… right?
