With Christmas less than a week away, the Boston Celtics are certainly trying to be on Santa’s nice list as they look to receive a truly remarkable present — a true difference-maker type of talent to have running alongside the Jays.

Despite the rumblings that suggested Boston may be considering splitting up their dynamic duo, recent reports have seemingly put this narrative to bed, as it appears Brad Stevens and co. are instead focusing on bringing in more complementary talents to aid in their efforts to rise up the ranks and, in turn, compete for supremacy out in the Eastern Conference.

We at HH have plenty of ideas when it comes to how the Cs should go about looking to bolster their roster and, more often than not, we find ourselves falling under the impression that the best way of accomplishing this is by means of in-season trading and, of the numerous options that have been linked to the franchise, we view 5, in particular, that should be on their Christmas wish list:

Boston Celtics wish list target No. 1) Bryn Forbes

Sometimes, blockbuster-level impact doesn’t always have to come from blockbuster deals. Instead, perhaps all a struggling team needs is a quality contributor to help shore up some of their glaring issues and a guy like Bryan Forbes could prove to be exactly that for the Boston Celtics.

While the shamrocks are certainly in need of many things at this point in time, off-ball shooting is an area of their game that they should strongly consider fixing, for they rank seventh in such shot attempts yet convert at a bottom-10 rate in the association.

Forbes, if acquired, would absolutely help in this area of their game.

A well-established trusty shooter who boasts averages of nine points on 44 percent shooting from the floor and 41 percent shooting from deep for his career, the 28-year-old currently finds himself logging minutes with the lowly San Antonio Spurs and, though he may be struggling to find consistent time on the hardwood, is still managing to produce at a highly efficient rate.

Per 75 possessions this year, Forbes is putting up 19.5 points on a stellar 46 percent shooting from the floor and 42.5 percent shooting from downtown whilst also shooting at a 48 percent clip from the field and a 47 percent clip from beyond the arc in catch-and-shoot scenarios, both of which would be team-highs on the Cs (of those who have logged over 200 minutes on the year) if acquired.

Should he be brought on at a reasonable price, Bryn Forbes very well could prove to be that low-risk, high-reward contributor Boston could absolutely use moving forward.
