After it appeared as though they were on the verge of turning the corner, the Boston Celtics have now managed to drop three straight during their west coast trip, most recently coming in the form of a putrid loss to the Phoenix Suns.

A truly underwhelming contest from the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, the Suns had the C’s number throughout the entirety of the contest, coming away with the point advantage in all but one quarter and, in the end, winning alongside a 21 point cushion with a final score reading 111-90.

Frankly, there isn’t really all that much to take away from the exhibition that fans can interpret as positive.

Of the 12 Boston Celtics players that took to the court Friday night, only three managed to come away with double-digit scoring outputs. In comparison, the Suns found themselves with seven of their 11 players who logged minutes coming away with 10 or more points.

Interestingly enough, the game was more a battle of rotational players than anything else, and Phoenix wound up coming away with the advantage, for, in the absence of their franchise cornerstone, Devin Booker, guys like Jae Crowder, Cameron Payne, and JaVale McGee picked up the scoring/ playmaking slack in his absence.

Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the Celtics who, for the fifth straight game, were without their own cornerstone in Jaylen Brown and, for the fifth straight game, no one outside of the usual suspects put up any performances to write home about.

In layman’s terms, there were a plethora of lowly performances for the shamrocks in Friday night’s loss. That said, shockingly there still were some players that managed to put forth a quality outing.

With this in mind, today we at the Houdini pinpoint 1 stud and 1 dud performer from Boston’s most recent loss to the Phoenix Suns:
