Boston Celtics bolster second unit scoring punch

At this point, it’s almost certain that the majority of you reading our work know how much we love the idea of seeing the Boston Celtics trade for the likes of Terrence Ross.

Frankly, this hypothetical move just makes far too much sense for the team to not try and chase, for they currently roll out one of the worst second unit scoring punches in the entire league (second to last in points per game and dead last in offensive rating) and Ross has made a career for himself with his high-end abilities of finding ways to put the ball in the basket.

Already coming into the season with the rumor being the rebuilding Magic could be in the market for trading the veteran wing, the thought of seeing a deal getting done is obviously not all that far fetched and, being that they are in tank mode, draft capital is of the utmost importance to the front office, not aging players.

We saw this same Orlando team trade away a player like Evan Fournier who was having a career season just last year to this same Cs team for just a few second-round picks and, with the fact that Ross is finding himself struggling thus far into this campaign, we believe that Boston should go and try their luck with an offer of just one future second-round pick.

Despite his lowly start to the year, we mustn’t forget that, since 2018, Ross finds himself boasting solid per-game averages of 14.6 points and 3.2 rebounds on 41 percent shooting from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep, all while predominantly coming off the pine.

This alone is worth giving up a second-rounder, and perhaps even more honestly.

That said, we believe that, at the very least. this is an offer the Boston Celtics should look to shoot Orlando’s way at some point this year.
