Boston Celtics stud: Al Horford

When the Boston Celtics opted to reunite with veteran big man Al Horford via trade this past offseason we at HH were rather excited, for his steady head coupled with his still rather sound production was viewed as a potentially huge addition to this unfortunately inconsistent and erratic young bunch.

Through 15 games played so far in his return campaign, our hopes and expectations have ultimately managed to be met and Monday was simply yet another example of the highly efficient and impactful brand of production he’s been displaying all year long.

Nabbing his second consecutive double-double — fourth of the season –, in 24 minutes the 35-year-old registered 11 points, 11 boards, four assists, and two steals on 44 percent shooting from the field and 60 percent shooting from deep.

Effective in nearly every aspect of the game, Horford was truly a problem everywhere from in the paint to beyond the arc and, because of this, he went on to finish this off with a box plus-minus rating of +22.

Proving to be a fantastic compliment to Robert Williams in the starting frontcourt, moving forward we can only hope to see more highly efficient performances such as these.
