The Boston Celtics are coming off a spectacular bad beat for both Cs spread bettors and over bettors this past Saturday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder at home.

With the Celtics starters taking control of this game, the bench came in and fumbled it all away in the waning moments of garbage time, which became razor-thin in clutch time far too quickly.

Can Ime Udoka trust the young core to effectively supplement the starters? And what about the Houston Rockets’ ability to compete after 14 straight losses?

Hardwood Houdini is here to dish out some odds, TV channel info, and a prediction for some Monday NBA action:

Boston Celtics vs. Houston Rockets odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBet, the Celtics are an 11-point favorite over the Rockets at home. Houston is a +450 road underdog, with the Cs moneyline set at -600. The over/under for the game has been placed at 213 points.

Boston has finally creeped up over .500 with a 9-8 record while H-Town sports a 1-15 record. The two teams hit the under in their first matchup this season, a 107-97 Cs win, and Boston covered the point spread.

Predictably, this is not a nationally televised game. In-market fans can watch the game on NBC Sports Boston or AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

Celtics vs. Rockets prediction

Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams are probable for this one so it’d take a true Vegas miracle for the Rockets to pick up their second win of the season.

The two being back could cause some problems scoring in this one, but the Rockets have had several very low scoring efforts. Their most recent performance saw them hold the lead on the New York Knicks before succumbing late.

They have a chance of stunning the Cs re-integrated fully healthy starting lineup early, but a more probable bet is a disciplined Boston team closing the door on a young rebuilding squad–unlike on Saturday night against the Thunder–that hasn’t had a prayer some nights in a 2021-22 season fraught with downs and lacking many ups.

Pick: Celtics -11 (-110)
