Boston Celtics dud: Grant Williams

All season long, the Boston Celtics have been quite sporadic with their play. Frankly, it seems as though every other night we’re either lauding the team or loathing their existence.

Sad to say, the same can emphatically be said about third-year forward, Grant Williams.

While he may be finding himself off to a career year with the ball club, seemingly every other game the 23-year-old is either playing lights out or looks as though he’s playing with the lights out.

Unfortunately for him, Friday was certainly the latter as he received his second consecutive start within the rotation but could not put forth his second consecutive highly-impactful outing.

In 27 minutes, Williams put forth a stat line of just five points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Now yes, while he did finish off with a solid shooting line of 50 percent shooting from the floor and 33 percent shooting from deep, it must be noted that he attempted just three long-range attempts on the night and saw his first and only make from this distance come in the third.

This is not something a shooting specialist should be all that proud of — we’re certainly not.
